A finger lift label is a two-part permanent, self-adhesive, liner-less tamper evident label with dry edges that carry no adhesive. The dry edge is there so anyone can lift the label off the roll and apply it without fighting it — which matters when the person applying seals does it hundreds of times a shift.

What it is

A finger lift label is a two-part permanent, self-adhesive, liner-less tamper evident label with dry edges that carry no adhesive. The dry edge is there so anyone can lift the label off the roll and apply it without fighting it — which matters when the person applying seals does it hundreds of times a shift.

The pressure sensitive adhesive is stripe coated along the centre of the label, giving good adhesion and suiting both left and right hand application.

What happens when the label is disturbed

This is an option applied to a permanent tamper evident label, not a different kind of evidence. The label still works the same way: lifting it breaks the face, leaves the hidden message and adhesive behind on the surface, and the label cannot be put back looking as it did. The option below changes what is printed, numbered or verified — not the tamper mechanism.

  • Confirm the surface: energy, texture, cleanliness and flexibility all change adhesion
  • Check the application temperature at the moment the label goes on, not just storage
  • Trial with the people who will apply it — handling is the point of this construction
