E-commerce and retail application
E-commerce Shoe Secure Labels
Sealing footwear so a pair that has been worn outdoors cannot be returned as unworn.
Footwear returns are hard to assess. A shoe that has been worn once looks close enough to new that a returns operator has to make a judgement call, at speed, on every parcel.
A shoe secure label applied to the sole removes the judgement. It survives normal handling and trying on indoors, but outdoor wear destroys it and a lifted label voids. A pair returned without an intact, correctly numbered label is outside the returns policy you published.

What the label has to reveal
Tried on, or worn
The label is not there to stop a return. It is there to make the difference between trying on and wearing visible and consistent.
01
Applied and numbered
The label is applied to the sole at dispatch and its consecutive number is recorded against the order.
02
Worn or lifted
Outdoor wear abrades and breaks the label; lifting it releases the void message.
03
Evidence remains
The label cannot be re-laid and its number cannot be reproduced, so the returns decision is based on the pack, not on opinion.
Real evidence
On the roll, on the shoe, and after wear

Product routes
Constructions used for this application
Permanent labels
Void onto the surface so the evidence stays with the item. Permanent labels.
Non-residue labels
Chosen where the sole or upper must be left completely unmarked after an accepted return. Non-residue labels.
Bespoke print and numbering
Brand-specific void text, returns-policy wording and consecutive numbers tied to the order. Custom labels.
Garment applications
For clothing rather than footwear, the same approach is applied through TamperShield. E-commerce and retail.
Application and integration
Fitting it into dispatch and returns
Applying at dispatch
Labels are supplied on rolls for hand application at pack-out, or in formats to suit a label applicator. Tell us the pack rate per hour and we will specify a format that keeps up.
Surface and placement
Sole materials vary widely — rubber, EVA, leather, textured tread. Placement and construction are chosen so the label bonds and behaves consistently on the specific soles you sell.
Publishing the policy
The label only works commercially if the customer is told about it before purchase. Void text and insert wording can carry your returns condition so the rule is clear at the point of sale.
Returns processing
Give the returns team one rule: intact label with the recorded number, or the return is referred. Numbers can be printed as barcodes so the check is scanned rather than read.
