Secure item paper tamper evident label
A paper-carrier permanent label for items, envelopes and inner packs. Removed, it dry-peels and leaves a security message on the surface — the pack cannot be resealed as if nothing happened.
Use it where the closure is small, the surface is paper or board, and you need a fast visual integrity check at the next handover.
What happens when it is disturbed
Material is not the mechanism
A paper facestock does not make a label tamper evident. The evidence comes from the adhesive and print construction: on removal the label dry-peels and a security message transfers to the surface. Fibre tear can be specified as an option where a destructible response is wanted instead.
When to use it
- Envelopes, mailers, document wallets and paper-based inner packs.
- Single items inside a carton where the outer seal alone is not enough.
- Retail and e-commerce returns where you need to see whether a pack was opened.
- Operations standardising on paper-led packaging components.
- Sequentially numbered seals that need logging against an order or consignment.
When not to use it
- Where the surface must stay unmarked after removal — specify a non-residue construction instead.
- As authentication. A seal shows opening, not whether the product is genuine.
- On low-energy plastics, textured film or silicone-treated surfaces without a trial.
- On packs handled wet, oily or frozen without confirming the adhesive.
- As a substitute for a locked or physically protected container.

Which tamper behaviour suits the workflow?
