E-commerce Paper Security Tape

A 100% paper carton seal that shows, in plain sight, whether a parcel has been opened before the customer received it.

Paper security tape seals outbound e-commerce cartons and leaves a permanent tamper message if it is lifted or removed. It gives fulfilment, delivery and customer service teams a shared piece of physical evidence when a "not as described" or "arrived empty" claim is raised.

Tamper behaviour

A paper seal that cannot be put back

The tape bonds to corrugated board. Any attempt to lift, peel or re-lay it separates the construction and leaves a visible message behind on both the tape and the carton, so the evidence travels with the parcel.

01

Applied at pack-out

Run across the carton seam by hand or from a tape gun as the parcel is closed.

02

Removal attempted

Lifting or peeling the tape splits the paper layers, so it cannot be re-laid cleanly.

03

Evidence revealed

A permanent VOID or custom message is left on the tape and the carton for the receiving team to see.

Why paper

What the paper construction gives you

Fibre-based seal

A 100% paper tape for businesses moving to fibre-based, recyclable outer packaging.

Visible deterrent

A marked security seal signals that the parcel is monitored before anyone attempts to open it.

Evidence for claims

When a claim is raised, the voided seal is a physical record that the pack was opened in transit.

Kerbside disposal

The seal stays with the carton rather than adding a separate plastic component to be removed.

Custom messaging

Surface and sub-surface text, colours and your own wording on the revealed message.

Traceability options

Sequential numbering, barcodes and QR codes for parcel-level reconciliation.

Where it is used

Points in the e-commerce journey

Fulfilment and pack-out

Sealing outbound cartons at the point of packing, before the parcel leaves your control.

Third-party fulfilment

Evidencing handover between your brand, a 3PL and the final carrier.

High-value and small parcels

Apparel, electronics, cosmetics and collectables where a single item loss is material.

Returns and reverse logistics

Sealing returns so the condition of the pack on arrival can be assessed.

Customer service investigations

Giving agents a defined question to ask: was the seal intact and was there a message on the carton?

Wider retail operations

Store transfers, click and collect handover and inbound goods checks.

Application and integration

Fitting it into an existing packing line

Hand or tape gun

Applied like standard carton tape, with no change to the packing bench layout.

Machine application

For higher-throughput lines, tell us your applicator and line speed and we will confirm suitability.

Training the check

The value comes from the receiving check. We will help you define what teams look for and record.
