Beauty and Cosmetics Packaging Security

Beauty products are small, high value and bought on trust in the seal. Tamper evidence protects the customer opening experience and deters refill, substitution and return abuse.

Used on make-up and skincare cartons, jars, tubes, sample kits, gift sets and e-commerce parcels, where the seal has to look considered as well as work.

The problem

Where beauty and cosmetics brands are exposed

01

Refill and substitution

Premium containers refilled with unauthorised product.

02

Returns abuse

Used product returned as unopened, with no way to prove otherwise.

03

Counterfeit packaging

Generic seals that anyone can source and reapply.

04

Small and curved surfaces

Tubes, jars and lipstick cases with very little bonding area.

05

Marketplace and resale

Product sold on third party platforms with unclear provenance.

06

Presentation

Security that must not spoil the unboxing or the shelf appearance.

How it works

Security that still looks like the brand

Tamper evident constructions separate irreversibly when disturbed and expose a permanent VOID message. They deter interference and reveal it. Printed, coloured or foiled finishes let the seal carry brand artwork rather than look like a warning sticker.

01

Specified to the pack

Construction, size and adhesive chosen for the carton, jar, tube or set.

02

Finished to the brand

Colour, print, foiling and bespoke shapes so the seal belongs on the pack.

03

Checked by the customer

The consumer sees an intact seal, or clear evidence that something is wrong.

Specifying it properly

What we need to know to get it right first time

Substrate and finish

Soft-touch laminates, foiled board, glass, acrylic and coated plastics are some of the hardest surfaces to bond to. Send us the actual pack, including the finish.

Size and geometry

Small and curved surfaces limit adhesion area. The seal often has to bridge a joint rather than sit on a flat panel.

Appearance

Clear, coloured, printed or foiled, and whether the void message should be discreet or unmistakable to the consumer.

Zgłoszenie

Hand application at pack-out versus machine application on a cartoning line changes format and tolerances.

Next step

Specify it around your operation

Cosmetic seals usually fail on finish and surface energy. Send us the pack with its real finish and we will specify a seal that works and still looks right.

Known requirement

Samples, pricing, artwork and rollout for a product or application you have already identified.

Not sure what will work

Difficult substrate, temperature, line speed or a loss pattern you cannot pin down. Send us the pack and the problem.
