Tamper Evident Bag Tape Levels
Six layered levels of bag tape security, so you can match the construction to the risk instead of over specifying or under protecting.
Each level includes everything in the level below it, from a clear void message through to thermochromic ink, security cuts, hidden UV print and water fugitive ink. All levels are engineered for compatibility with a wide range of bag film types.

How the levels build on each other
Every level leaves a clear, irreversible message or pattern when the tape is removed, so any tampering attempt is immediately visible. Higher levels add detection of heat, physical removal, covert identifiers and liquids.

Bag tape security levels 2 to 6
Level 2 — Void and Void Cold
The base level of security bag tape. On removal the tape reveals a clear VOID message on the bag surface, leaving no doubt of tampering. Void Cold means the message also appears at cold temperatures, for a wider range of protection.
Level 3 — adds Thermochromic
Adds a thermochromic layer that changes colour when exposed to heat, revealing a hidden message or pattern alongside the VOID message. This detects attempts to bypass the adhesive using heat, such as with a hairdryer.
Level 4 — adds Security Cuts
Integrates security cuts into the tape. These pre scored lines weaken the tape at specific points, so it tears irregularly if someone attempts to remove it without breaking the seal. Combined with the thermochromic layer and the VOID message this gives a strong deterrent and clear evidence.
Level 5 — adds Hidden UV Print
Adds a hidden UV print, invisible to the naked eye and visible under UV light. The print can be customised with logos, sequential numbers or other unique identifiers for covert security and authentication.
Level 6 — adds Water Fugitive ink
The most comprehensive protection available from Tamper Technologies. All the features of Level 5 plus a water fugitive ink layer that dissolves on contact with water, clearly indicating tampering attempts involving water or other liquids.
